The City of Hastings has been using these two forms of social media to stay connected with residents since February of 2010. Both have become a great way for the City to provide timely information and to allow community members to share their comments and connect with city officials and staff.
Interviews, Each month a review of what has been happening around town and a preview of what is coming up can be heard when City of Hastings staff is featured as the guest on local AM radio 1460 KDWA’s In Depth Show. This interview is aired on the third Thursday of each month beginning at 11 am. Topics range from recent
City Council actions to current events, open houses or updates on projects going on around town.
Watch City meetings and stay current on upcoming events and reminders with the Hastings Public Access Government Channel. Broadcast locally on Comcast channel 16, you can watch all City Commission meetings live or catch reruns throughout the day. Want to watch it from you computer when it’s convenient to you? The City's Electronic Message Board (located at Highway 55 & Vermillion Street) is a great way to get quick updates and stay informed all while sitting at a red light!
