This advisory commission is made up of seven City residents, and the commission is charged with making recommendations on Park & Recreation issues in the City of Hastings. Annually, the commission is responsible for preparing and recommending a budget on park development and redevelopment projects to the City Council, as well as park policies. This type of commission is also known as a "Parks Commission" in other communities. Commissioners serve two-year terms, with a limit of three consecutive terms.
