City Services

The Hastings Police Departmentconsists of 28 full time officers, 20 volunteer officers and six clerical employees who are committed to upholding constitutional law, state statutes and local ordinances.  The Department also provides a variety of community service programs and of public assistance.

The Hastings Fire Department has 16 full-time and 39 on-call members.  The Department provides fire, rescue and ambulance service to the city and surrounding community.

Public Works

The Department of Finance is responsible for handling everything from accounts receivable, to managing the City's budget, and plays and integral part in the City’s everyday function.
