National Fallen Firefighters Foundation

The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation provides a number of programs for the fire service.  Since 1997, they have sponsored the annual National Memorial Weekend.  During this special weekend, families of fallen firefighters are invited to gather at the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, Maryland.

Families of fallen firefighters face a long and difficult journey.  While the rest of the world moves on, family members must figure out how to live without their loved ones.  The Foundation offers programs and materials to help during this most difficult time.

Work is underway to create a National Memorial Park which includes a brick Walk of Honor that connects the official monument to the historic Fallen Firefighters Memorial Chapel.

Hastings Firefighters have purchased a brick in support of this National Memorial Park.
