The Hastings Fire Department Explorer Post is a program coordinated through the Boy Scouts of America to give young people exposure to careers in the Fire and Emergency Medical Services. Explorers are provided with training very similar to that of a firefighter. They also receive training on first-aid and CPR skills. The program is available to young men and women who are at least 14 years old and have completed the eighth grade. Most meetings are held at the Hastings Fire Station. For more information, please contact Exploring Post Advisors Chris Paulson or Craig Latch at 651-480-6150.
Exploring is also available in many other career fields. To find out more, visit www.explorenow.org.
