City Council Committees

The City Council has nine Council Committees which are made up of three Councilmembers to review, provide direction, and discuss various issues before they are presented to the Council as a whole for a decision.

Council Committees meet on an as-needed basis. Chair of each committee is indicated by *

Administration Committee
The Administration Committee is responsible for general City administration.  The following Council members sit on this committee:

Hastings Economic Development & Redevelopment Authority

Finance Committee
The Finance Committe is responsible for operations and control of the Finance Department, provides guidance for communication with the City Council and finance Department activities, including budget, purchasing, accounting, audit, financeial statement, and other aspects of the City's financial operations.   The following Council members sit on this committee:

Historic Preservation Committee
The Historic Preservation Committee is responsible for providing guadance for and communications with the Heritage Preservation Commission, considering issues and making recommendations to council related historic preservation.   The following Council members sit on this committee:
