The Hastings Police Department is currently accepting applications for interested citizens to join the Hastings Police Reserve Unit.

The Hastings Police Reserve Unit is a volunteer organization where participants provide assistance to the Police Department and the Hastings community in a wide variety of functions, including ride along in squads with officers, patrol city parks, and provide security at many City events such as Rivertown Days, Gobble Gait, school events and special group events.

Selected new members are provided training in work related aspects of being a Police Reserve member such as traffic direction, first aid training and support patrol.

To apply, please complete and submit an application by December 18th, 2009 to the Hastings Police Department Attn: Sgt. Craig Puch, 150 Third Street East, Hastings MN  55033.  Applications are available on the City of Hastings website and at the Hastings Police Department.
