MAINTENANCE ISSUES
The Parks and Recreation Department is responsible for the maintenance
in our parks and on our trails. Grass cutting, trash removal, snow
removal, and other duties are performed on a regular basis. Below
please find a general listing of the some of the services performed by
the Parks and Recreation Department:
- Snow Plowing - Done when 2" or more snow on
designated trails & sidewalks. Routine mowing on Park lawn spaces.
- Regular playground safety inspections.
- Inspection and control of invasive weeds in
natural areas.
- Clearing outdoor skating rinks.
- Sports field maintenance to prepare for
scheduled activities.

IMPROVEMENT REQUESTS
Would you like to request an improvement or
new amenity in one of our parks? The City of Hastings and the Parks and
Recreation Commission (PRC) have developed a process for proposed
improvement projects. Please see the Improvement Request
