Celebrate
Youth Week
This happens in May at all Hastings schools. Efforts are created
to raise awareness and to express community appreciation of the great
youth we have here in Hastings. Several of the efforts include; The
Mock car crash, impaired vision goggles and golf carts, cookies for
every Hastings student, safety chains, random acts of kindness, etc.
Local
Jam in collaboration with HHS Youth Planning Council
This is where local youth music artists are organized to perform at
various drug and alcohol free venues. The money collected for
admission is used to fund the Youth Planning Council Local scholarship.
Scholarships have been awarded in 2009 and 2010. This is the first
youth funded scholarship in Hastings.
