Hastings Police Department's Citizen Online Reporting Services

What is Citizen Online Reporting Services?

Citizen Online is an internet method that allows citizens to request services, provide information and report specific crimes to the police department.

What services are available online?

Self Report Your Incident:  File a police report online for specific crimes that have no active leads and do not require a police officer to respond, such as:

  • Harassing/Threatening Phone Calls
  • Hit and Run Accident (Minor Damage)
  • Identity Theft
  • Lost Property
  • Vandalism
  • Theft from motor vehicle in which there is no physical evidence or suspect information

Upon successful submission of your e-report, you will receive a confirmation email that your report has been received.

A copy of your e-report will be emailed to you upon final processing of your report by police department personnel.

Please Note:  During the report entry process and elsewhere in Citizen Services, if an address or location contains a numerical street name, then it must be entered as a single digit.  (Example:  4th should be entered as 4, 3rd should be entered as 3 etc.)

Crime Mapping:  View a map-based display of reported criminal incidents in the Hastings area.

Citizen Emergency Data:  Report your household’s emergency contact information, key holder information, pertinent medical information, or any other information that a citizen believes will help Public Safety professionals to efficiently assist them in any emergency response situation.

Request a House Check:  Request that a police officer check your residence while you are out of town or your property is left vacant for an extended period of time.

View Road Closures:  View road closures in the Hastings area.  .

How do I get started?

Go to http://hastings.prophoenix.com/

Click on the service of your choice listed under the “Citizen Services” menu on the left side of the page.

Do I need to “Register” as a user?

You will be able to access some services without registering yourself as a user, such as Self Report Your Incident, Crime Mapping and Road Closures.

You will be prompted to register as a user when accessing Citizen Emergency Data and Request a Home Check.

You can also register at anytime by clicking on the “Login” link at the bottom of the webpage.

What is an “Authorized” user?
The Citizen Emergency Data service also requires you to be an “Authorized User”.  The Authorized User status is an added level of security, over and above the “Registered User” and requires that you provide photo identification and proof of address to the police department via mail or in person.  Upon receipt of your photo identification, the police department will update your status to “Authorized”, allowing you to take full advantage of the Citizen Emergency Data services.
Is there a user’s manual available for Citizen Services Online?
A “Citizen User Guide” is available here, and is also available on the Citizen Services website by clicking on the “Citizen User Guide” link in the upper right corner under “News Letters, Announcements, Etc.”
