The Hastings Police Department Investigation Division is made up of three Police Officers assigned to the Investigative Division whose responsibility is to do follow-up investigation on police reports. This includes interviewing and taking statements from witnesses, suspects and victims. Responsibilities of the Investigation Division also include processing crime scenes, collecting evidence, drafting search warrants, and working with other agencies, which include the County Attorney’s Office, City Attorney’s Office, and Social Services/Child Protection.
